Fasten your seatbelts. All crazy Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) fans, you are in for a “sweet” treat. After the grand success of “Varisu,” Thalapathy Vijay is ready to rock his fans with his new film, “LEO- Bloody Sweet.” The film will be directed by the famous Lokesh Kanagaraj, and under the Banner of & Screen Studio, the film will be produced by SS Lalit Kumar. There are speculations that Leo is going to be the most powerful man in LCU; however, we still wait for the official confirmation. “LEO- Bloody Sweet” has a few strong connections with the previous films “Kaithi” and “Vikram.” Fans are going crazy over Vijay’s look, and the visuals are promising. Can we expect another blockbuster from the superstar of Tamil cinema? Only time will say. The recently launched trailer clearly shows what we can expect from the film. Undoubtedly, this is an action thriller, but we expect a very sweet touch to it too. Why? We shall explain it to you soon. However, without much delay, let’s dive into the facts we need to know before “LEO- Bloody Sweet” hits theaters.
‘LEO – Bloody Sweet’ Plot
The film is set in the picturesque town of Kashmir. We see visuals of different chocolates made in a chocolate factory. Ring a bell? Of course, we cannot miss the context of a bakery in “Kaithi.” The rumor that was buzzing among LCU fans solidifies as the trailer surfaces. Fans found similarities between Lakesh Kanagaraj’s film “Kaithi” (2019). The “Bloody Sweet” track further strengthens the speculations, even though there has been no official confirmation yet. In “Kaithi,” Karthi Dilli worked in a bakery for three years while in prison. In “LEO- Bloody Sweet,” we see Vijay owning a chocolate manufacturing set-up. Thus, fans are concluding that the outlet might be the “bakery” in question for LCU; Adaikalam, who works for the real ghost druglord, recognizes Dilli, but how, we do not know.
The soul-soothing visuals of chocolate make us feel the calm before the storm. The trailer will juggle two opposite emotions soon. The calmness now changes to the suspense as the vivid images of the thrill come into the picture. Along with making chocolates, Vijay is seen simultaneously wielding weapons. Vijay checks the quality of cocoa beans and the consistency of chocolate while keeping a keen eye on the weapon. Soon, the trailer takes us to a trail of cars on the hills. Undoubtedly, we get the feeling that we are in for some delicious action and thrills.
However, the chocolate-making takes us back to “Vikram,” starring Kamal Hassan. Why? As the “Varisu” star stylishly makes a variety of chocolates in a chocolate factory-like place, similar visuals were in Kamal Hassan’s promo for “Vikram.” Kamal Hassan was seen preparing a variety of dishes. We also see that cocaine-producing coffee and chocolate-producing cocoa are often cultivated in the same place. So, even though clear connections have been established with LCU, we are yet to know how expensive these sweet treats are going to be.
